Common Problem Areas

A number of areas can result in issues or questions arising about data protection. If you are in doubt you should seek advice before proceeding. Areas where issues can commonly occur include:

  • The introduction and/or use of CCTV cameras
  • Changing IT systems or data processors
  • Data processor contract clauses
  • The use of biometric data
  • Data subject access requests from estranged parents or guardians
  • Advising a data subject about their rights to information under UK GDPR
  • Completing and/or updating information asset registers
